Discussion:
Mineral Oil for Wet Brakes

I have a manitou telehandler mlt840-115 ST38 serial is 914048.

In the manual it says to go with mineral oil for the brake system, just looking for a lil clarification on what mineral oil is in the brakes. First time dealing with it not sure how wet brakes really work, and whats' the difference between mineral and conventional DoT 3,4 i know DoT5 is silicone based.

Yoooooo!
use LHM mineral oil for the master cylinder resevior. bright green stuff. dont top-up with anything else or it will kill the seals in your axles.
