Why will apple be the first trillion dollar company , will it be because it has great product,will it be because it has a great system to promote these products , will it because it has great stores, will it be because it has a global following. NO IT WONT BE BECAUSE OF ANY OF THESE THINGS. Apple will become the first Trillion dollar company because all the people who work their who develop their product who produce their service who communicate the aims all do this with Pride, Pride for the company, pride for the service Pride for the products. that's what will make Apple the first trillion dollar company
I must agree with catcher , a company is only as good as its staff. All staff from the person who has just started their to the one who started it all off. All need to have the same pride in the company or should have. if they don't have this pride in the company they work for they should look at why they don't have this pride , if this comes down from the management then they should look to move on because the company won't be around in the long run. People are saying Rushlift have done well to sell to Doosan but really Doosan had no choice butt to buy Rushlift if they want to be competitive in the UK. Toyota, Linde, Junghienrich, NACCO (Briggs) Crown all deal direct with the customer so if you want to be successfully in the UK you must deal direct , you must offer a better service than any one else you must offer solutions customers need but don't get from your competitors , But more importantly than all this you must have pride, pride in you company, pride in your service ,pride in your products because with out pride why would your customer want to deal with you.
As Fake engineer said in another post... Bring back Harveys. Lots of discontent in Rushlift - some good people left & many others looking to jump ship. Maybe the good old senior management of Rushlift, ex Harvey Managers, can start up another business again.
Which one? Recently north, south an Scotland have left.

SEV ceased to be a dealer some time ago.
Its going to change the game up North give problems to Linde, Toyota, and will we now see the expected take over of Hyster Yale by Briggs in the US. Windsor will now have to look more strongly at Komatsu and SEV will look elsewhere.
But might also change the Hyundai and Clark approach will we now see the Hyundai Clark takeover that is expected
There is going to be some quite big deals done over the next couple of years with bigger companies securing there positions by taking out the smaller competitor. to try to get market share i will this see more competition between the bigger companies or will the smaller companies take advantage with better service and lower cost's
In the north we have got Windsors, SEV and Rushlift all selling Doosans and all have got a base/depot in the north. What will happen to SEV and Windsor. It should be interesting.

I think the takeover was with immediate effect so the old directors will no longer have a part in the business.
Question is, what does this mean for all the other Doosan dealers? You now have a national Doosan dealer owned by the manufacturer. Who is the OEM going to favour????

Given that I am actually an engineer myself yes I know what you are saying... Just didn't feel it relevant to comment as all the engineers are still out working hard. Without them there wouldn't be a business to sell.

wonder if the hard working loyal employees who brought the success will get a nice bonus for their part in the success.
Here,here, I couldn't agree with sceptical more, but I must admit to many contracts are won on price, not on commitment.
Without engineers, no fork truck company can prosper. It's time the management realised it. Engineers have been treated like cap for to long.
i think you mean all the staff and directors hard work, its a team game
From my understanding Rush lift will be keeping the company name.
Doosan are the new owners of the company but a condition of sale was that the original / current commitments of the business were met and continued with in order to grow the business.....
.....Or so I hear!
I do however, agree completely with Bikerman and take my hat off to the directors for all their hard work getting rush lift to where it is today. They certainly have some big contracts behind them and must be doing something right for Doosan to purchase the business.
Congratulations to Rushlift - success well deserved.
From a outsider looking I think you will see this becoming more and more with OEM's owning dealerships.
You have to figure when dealerships are making little to no money on new truck sales the factory is in the same boat to a certain extent.
Crown here in the US is the perfect example and Raymond not far behind with the amount of factory owned dealerships.
Some cases it is the dealership owe's the factory so much money so the only way for them to recoup that is to take over the dealership. The other case I have heard of is the owners do not want to see what they have built brought to it's knees by the next owner and sell to the factory.
