The original cable was smaller. We measured the pulleys, and they were about an inch wide, so we figured it would work. However it did not. I think part of the problem was the Belden cable was not twisted inside. I think this helps the cable roll over the pulleys better and distributes the tension throughout the wires in the cable. I have some of the cable from the original manufacturer on the truck, and it is working. The cable is much smaller then the width of the pulley. It measures about.600. I think this may also help with not having the cable ride up over the edge of the pulley. I do have about 65 feet of the Belden cable. If anyone wants it, I will sell it cheap.

The OEM cable is called something like Rockbestos Perfect-A-Flex.
