Warehouse automation consultancy Tompkins Solutions, has welcomed back its founder Jim Tompkins who has taken on the role of chairman of the board.

Now owned by Grays Peak Capital, Tompkins Solutions, Tompkins retired from the business in 2020 to successfully pursue other business interests including B2B matchmaking business Tompkins Ventures.

As chairman of both Tompkins Solutions and Tompkins Ventures, Tompkins will align the organisations to strengthen Tompkins Solutions' leadership in warehouse automation and supply chain consulting.

"Tompkins Solutions has always held a special place in my heart, and I'm excited about the opportunity to guide its continued growth and relevance in a rapidly evolving supply chain environment,” Jim Tompkins says. 

Nathan Riggins

Associated Equipment Distributors - United States

US industry body, the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED), has named Nathan Riggins as its director of government affairs. 

Based in AED’s Washington office, Riggins will play a key leadership role in advancing the association’s legislative and regulatory priorities and ensuring increased visibility and effectiveness in advocating for pro-growth policies across all levels of government.

Riggins has broad experience in government relations work, having been a senior program manager with the National Democratic Institute and a legislative assistant at the US House of Representatives.

“I’m honored to join AED and contribute to its strong legacy of advocacy on behalf of the equipment industry,” says Riggins. “I look forward to working with our members to advance policies that drive growth, strengthen our workforce, and ensure the continued success of this vital sector.”
