Discussion:
changing mast roller bearings

wondering if anyone can give me the process of changing out the roller bearings on the inner channel mast tracks. Not the carriage ones. Any help would be much appreciated!

I mean, you will not have enough room to get the bearings out, so if you unbould the liftcylinders, push up the middle section of mast then cross(as far as possible) the 2 liftcyliders and then lower the section, that should give you enough room for the bearings.
To take of the bearings you need a hammer and a tyre lever, push on one side and slam on the other side(hard if needed) Whatch out for the spacers (adjusting rings), you have to put them back again.

What do you mean by cross the 2 lift cylinders? Are the rollers easy to remove? What do you use to get them off? Thanks for your help man!

Without a jack it will be diffecult, probably you have to cross the 2 liftcylinders, that will give you the space needed.
You have to jack up the front wheels by about 10cm, drive it on some wooden planks. Sometimes the new bearings will not fit in the downside of the track because it is a little misvormed.
First try and maybe a little polishing will help.

Mr John it is a 2 stage. The bottom rollers on the inside track are the ones that need changing. I have removed the attachment and the carriage.I have also disconnected the chains and chain wheels along with the hydraulic hoses. Seems like i need to jack up the lift so the inside track can come down further than the outside track. I have no jacks or ramps though. I thought of removing the battery and using my Toyota 4 pallet to lift it up but that seems a bit dangerous. Any help would be appreciated sir!
