Clark C25C:
014 code

I have a clark with a 014 code, won't go into forward gear but will go into reverse. Continuous issue and cannot locate the short, any idea what 014 code is?

Unfortunately they are not numbered, are color coded but very old and faded to the point you cannot really tell the difference. Looks like someone cut the harness wrapping and have been weathered for awhile. I am going to try and get some cleaner that won't damage the wiring to see if I can clean enough to see the colors any better. It says on schematics that the wire I am looking for is green with yellow stripe, there are several that appear that color at the moment.

I believe I may have found the wire going from the harness plug at the foot pedals and it seems there is an open wire from the plug to the forward solenoid. None of the wires will ohm to the forward solenoid plug when I check from that plug to the plug on forward solenoid. I am hoping this may be the issue, was thinking of running a seperate wire from plug to forward solenoid, but need to verify which wire I need to use. This print I found is very difficult to read. It looks like there are no other safety or other components coming from this particular plug to the forward solenoid, it is about 14" from the plug to solenoid.

The only thing dash is giving me is the wrench light after I try to shift to forward and a 014 number in display.

Depending on the serial number Clark used
Several nsc controllers (neutral safety control )
The symptoms are , no forward , no reverse , no forward or reverse again depending on serial number look below dash to left side
That is where it is located and other response was correct down close to hyd valve are two diodes one for forward one for reverse and if it has 2 amp diode replace with 5
Also some went thru dash pod before they went to trans solenoids the first place I would check would be the plug on the column if you had a schematic for wiring you can trace the wire from switch to solenoids and running wire to solenoids from switch is not a good idea you are bypassing the safety protocol in place

Long time since I worked on one of these but i think in the wiring loom down near the gearbox solenoids there are 2 plugs that have a yellow diode in each, check the diode isnt blown

Just a little more information, I believe one of the mechanics that previously worked on the forklift ran a wire directly to the reverse solenoid so it is allowing it to go into reverse. I am assuming it would not be going into gear if they hadnt done that bypass previously.
We know there is a short somewhere in the wiring harness but have not been able to locate an affordable wiring harness at this time.
