Hangcha delivers 108 hydrogen forkliftsChinese materials handling equipment manufacturer Hangcha, has completed delivery of 108, 3.5T capacity forklifts with hydrogen fuel cells, to an unnamed customer in China.
Hangcha says the order is the largest single delivery of hydrogen-powered forklifts in China and “marks a significant step in the scalable application of hydrogen within the material handling industry”.
The order was signed in July with research, development, manufacturing and delivery taking less than six months.
The forklifts were developed by Hangcha in collaboration with its long-term partner Xin Hydrogen Power.
Hangcha says it now has hydrogen-powered forklifts operating across the gas, energy and port logistics sectors where they have accumulated more than 200,000 hours of operation.
Hangcha adds the hydrogen-fuelled forklifts feature fast refuelling, long endurance, and zero emissions.
“It is designed to meet the needs of continuous operations in manufacturing and logistics, supporting customers' green transition,” Hangcha states.
“As a key milestone in Hangcha's new energy strategy, this delivery confirms strong market confidence in hydrogen as a viable and efficient power solution for industrial vehicles.”
