Discussion:
hydralic pump takes a minute to stop after stopping raising/lowering forks

5FBE10 TOYOTA
Raising and lowering the forks, , after stopping, it takes a minute for the hydralic pump to stop. If turning the key off, than it stops straight away. Is it a bad contact or a faulty switch
Thanks

Check the coil ohms on the contactor , also tips, springs etc. most likely the contactor pivot is worn , return spring, and some had magnets stuck to the sides of them for debris.
Check also the switch to turn on the pump. On each lever. Ohm out unhooked and check the rollers and return springs. Tilt and SS should be centered properly. Check also lever bushings, lever rods, pins etc for wear. Keeping the switch on longer to due to a misaligned or sticky
switch

Fact of the week
In the UK, an old building standard called the "21-metre rule" is still used to protect privacy between neighbouring properties. The 21m (or 70 ft.) was set by urban designers Unwin and Parker in 1902. They derived this distance by walking away from each other in a field until they could no longer see each other's nipples through their shirts.
