Doosan introduces Ice range
Northampton, United KingdomDoosan Industrial Vehicle UK (DIVUK) is launching a range of trucks used in cold stores and other sub-zero working temperatures.
Branded as Doosan Ice, the freezer-specification trucks will be available across the company's entire electric warehouse range, including reach trucks, powered pallet trucks, low-level order pickers and electric counterbalance trucks.
The first Doosan Ice trucks off the production line are reach trucks with heated and insulated cabins.
Paul Watson, general sales manager for DIVUK, says that the UK's frozen food sector is growing fast, hence there is a demand for the new range. "We had been looking at developing a specialist cold storage range for a while but brought forward our plans following a request from one of our clients, a FTSE-listed food manufacturer. The fact that we were able to take a customer request and develop it to production so quickly and effectively is testament to Doosan's unique combination of engineering ability, entrepreneurial spirit and investment resources."

All four models in the new Backsense radar system range divide the specified detection area into five zones and provide a visual and audible warning when objects enter the hazard area.
The in-cab display has an easy-to-read visual warning, consisting of five LEDs corresponding to five distance zones from the vehicle. The warning buzzer has an adjustable sound level of 65 to 90 dB and the sensor is impervious to water, dust and mud.
