Improvements to award-winner
Basingstoke, United KingdomLinde Material Handling has enhanced its CiTi truck range to incorporate new features designed to improve efficiency and safety.
A new weighing device will make it easier for the operator to weigh palletised goods, while the introduction of a permanent speed limitation of 4 km/h (2.5 mph.) will promote safety.
The CiTi truck won the innovation award at the 2011 Fork Lift Truck Association awards in the UK.
Raymond's new truck
Greene, NY, United StatesRaymond Corp has launched the 8000 Series pallet trucks, which it says have been verified by the US Auto Club as "33% more energy efficient and 6% more productive" than their competitors.
The test results in the Comparative Data Report by the United States Auto Club Properties Inc are based on a 2011 study comparing the Raymond Model 8400 end rider pallet truck with comparative competitor units.
New hybrid power pack
Helsinki, FinlandKonecranes has introduced a hybrid (diesel/electric) option for its rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, which it claims can cut diesel fuel consumption by over 60%.
With the new power option, the manufacturer now has a full range of solutions for RTGs: hybrid power pack, diesel fuel saver, and two electric power options.
