The smallest Bulldog forklift is 1,933mm (6.3 feet) in length, has a 300kg (661lbs) lifting capacity and a lift height of up to 3,300mm (10.8 feet).
West Midlands-based materials handling company Wilmat Ltd says it has produced the world's smallest and most powerful electric counterbalance forklift.

The Bulldog heavy-duty counterbalance truck was developed using the SolidWorks CAD program to offer "unprecedented manoeuvrability in small spaces". The smallest Bulldog is 1,933mm (6.3 feet) in length, has a 300kg (661lbs) lifting capacity and a lift height of up to 3,300mm (10.8 feet).

Wilmat sales and technical director Andrew Capella says there is a need in the market for a small, robust forklift that is manoeuvrable in tight spaces. "From the initial design stages, we felt that we were developing something very special."

Capella says his customers have responded well to the new forklift. "Space is of a premium in most warehouses and factories. In using a truck of this size, customers can free up valuable floor space, streamlining their operations and ultimately make real cost savings."

The Bulldog range offers lifting capacities of up to 2,500kg (5,512lbs) and lifting heights from 1,500mm to 4,660mm (4.9 feet-15.3 feet). The larger machines come with electronic powered steering as standard.

Headquartered in Birmingham, Wilmat Ltd designs and manufactures bespoke, pedestrian-operated materials handling equipment. Its clients include major corporations like BMW, Ford, Caterpillar, Siemens and BT.
