Tracker boosts productivity
Cleveland, OH United StatesHyster Company has launched Hyster Tracker, a wireless access monitoring system to enable effective fleet management of demanding materials handling operations.
The system enhances productivity by monitoring and reporting on the performance and use of forklifts and container handling trucks.
The Hyster Tracker not only monitors the fleet, but controls operator access and helps to verify that the operator pre-shift checklist has been completed before operation.
E-Reco system as standard for trucks
Ancenis, FranceManitou is offering, as standard, the E- Reco attachment-recognition system on its new-generation MRT EASY and MRT PRIVILEGE + ranges of rotative telescopic trucks.
The system uses RFID radio-identification technology, which can recover and record data remotely. It detects the attachment at the head of the boom, analyses its data and directly proposes the corresponding working configuration.
The technology provides the load chart in real time, taking into account the rotation angle of the turret and the position of the machine's stabilisers, in accordance with the standard relative to mobile cranes.
Bulldog range receives upgrade
Birmingham, United KingdomWilmat Ltd has updated its Bulldog range following customer feedback.
Andrew Capella, Wilmat technical director, explains: "Our Bulldog trucks have been extremely popular thanks to their robust design and ease of operation, but we are constantly innovating and looking at ways to improve our products.
"As customers look to improve the efficiency of their operations, speed and accuracy has become increasingly important and so we've made power steering an optional feature across the Bulldog range." The battery-powered Bulldog is equipped with tilt operation as standard and an electronic braking system.
Transmon introduces new system
Leicester, United KingdomTransmon Engineering Ltd has launched the iTEch Control System that combines the benefits offered by tyre, gear and speed systems for materials handling operations in one module. The company says this can be used in conjunction with the iTEch Zone Control System to deliver a greater level of safety.
"Sold separately, forklift add-on systems such as iTEch Tyre, iTEch Gear or iTEch Speed are designed to improve materials handling operations, offering various benefits, but by combining three products into a multi-functional module, we have made the system even easier for customers to manage," explains Paul Sercombe of Transmon Engineering.
TMHUK shows off latest
Peterborough, United KingdomToyota Material Handling UK (TMHUK) will showcase its latest range of warehouse and counterbalance forklifts on stand E15 at the Temperature Controlled Storage and Distribution exhibition at Peterborough Arena on 18-19 September.
On display will be a range of warehouse equipment for chilled and cold store environments.
Warehouse equipment to be displayed includes a BT Reflex reach truck fitted with a cold store cabin, a BT Levio ride-on powered pallet truck, Toyota Traigo electric forklift and a selection of BT Lifter hand pallet trucks.
