Bobcat unveils limited edition black telehandlers

Bobcat unveiled a black, limited edition of its V-Drive telehandlers at the agricultural machinery trade show, Agritechnica 2025 in Hanover last week.

The special edition will see 50 units of the TL38.70HF and TL43.80HF models released.

Bobcat’s V-Drive continuous transmission telehandler series was launched in April. Based on the AGRI 4 specification, the premium models will feature exclusive ‘Black’ exterior colouring, all-black patterned cloth and leather seat covers with signature edition branding, and individually numbered plates in each cab.

Florian Hilbert, product manager for telehandlers, Doosan Bobcat EMEA, says: “The Black Limited Edition units will help us further boost awareness and generate a real buzz”. 

“Thanks to their exclusive detailing and branding, we expect these eye-catching models to attract significant attention at Agritechnica 2025, giving customers an opportunity to own a genuinely rare, visually distinctive and high-specification machine that enables them to accomplish more.”

Massachusetts-headquartered AI-enabled warehouse automation designer Symbotic, will roll out new battery technology from UK-based Nyobolt for its SymBot autonomous mobile robots.

Symbotic says the collaboration with Nyobolt, which develops specialised high-power, ultra-fast charging solutions, will improve the performance of its warehouse automation system.

Symbotic has been utilising the technology in production on a limited basis since June 2025 and says its has six times more energy capacity and is 40% lighter “compared to the ultra capacitors used in SymBot mobile robots today.”

The company states it expects the new batteries will start to be fully incorporated into new SymBot production in September 2025.

“The technology…delivers unparalleled cycle life: at least 10 times that of traditional lithium-ion technology,” the company adds.

Duravant acquires Matthews International

Pittsburgh-based Matthews International Corporation has agreed to a deal for the sale of its Warehouse Automation Business to Illinois-headquartered Duravant and will operate under its materials handling group.

Matthews Automation Solutions delivers warehouse execution system (WES) and warehouse control system (WCS) software, controls, and integration services and operates its software development, project management, and operations hubs in Cincinnati, Ohio and Pewaukee, Wisconsin.

Duravant says Matthews represents a strategic acquisition.

Matthews receives USD230 million under the deal and will use the proceeds “to significantly reduce outstanding debt”.

Duravant CEO Mike Kachmer says of the acquisition: “The software and controls integration expertise the team brings to Duravant is exceptional. They have a reputation for delivering high quality service and support which aligns perfectly with Duravant’s dedication to ensuring customer success.”
