Bobcat announces exclusive dealer for Iceland

Icelandic forklift dealer PON ehf has been named as Bobcat’s exclusive dealer for the country, effective immediately, offering the full Bobcat range.

Hjalti Kristinn Unnarsson, PON’s operations manager, says the Icelandic landscape “demands resilience” for vehicles navigating its volcanic and rocky terrains and this is why it has partnered with Bobcat.

"Being Iceland's exclusive Bobcat dealer is a true privilege,” Kristinn Unnarsson continues. “PON's customers face the challenge of working in confined, often harsh spaces, and Bobcat machines rise to the occasion, offering precision and power where other machines might fall short.

“In Iceland, where the weather can be unpredictable, these machines thrive - maximising productivity and minimising repair time, even in the most demanding conditions."

Ewen Gilchrist, channel development manager UK & Nordics at Doosan Bobcat EMEA, adds: “PON is a very professional business with a longstanding reputation in Iceland”.

"We are looking forward to working closely with them to increase the growth of the Bobcat brand in Iceland in every sector from our traditional markets in construction, rental and agriculture to the newer markets such as forklifts and ground maintenance equipment,” Gilchrist says.
