Hangcha opens Malaysian officeHangcha continues to realise its ambitious expansion hopes with the opening of a site in Selangor in Malaysia.
It’s been a year of strong geographic growth for the Chinese forklift maker, establishing itself in Vietnam in May with Hangcha Forklift Vietnam and in April, opening a Thai manufacturing facility.
In March Hangcha opened a sales and rental centre in France marking its first move into Europe.
The Malaysian site covers 1,800sqm and, according to Hangcha, will “focus on forklift sales, service, equipment rentals, lithium battery solutions, and AGV for Malaysia and nearby regions”.
“Since February 2025, we’ve set up branches in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia,” deputy chief engineer of Hangcha Group, Li Yuansong, states. “This marks a shift from separate efforts to a connected strategy in Southeast Asia. We’re building a stronger service network together.”
Zhao Yun, general manager of Hangcha Malaysia, adds: “In 2024, 20 lithium-powered tractors started service at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. This is a big step for green aviation and shows our strength and commitment to the Malaysian market.”
