More than 200 companies were on show |
The four-day CeMAT RUSSIA 2015, which ended on Friday, 25 September, is being described by organisers as another success.
The event attracted 4,368 visitors and more than 200 exhibitors from 28 countries.
"Many companies have been exhibiting at CeMAT RUSSIA since its 2010 premiere. They have helped the fair develop into an event that user industries and industry trade associations recognise as Russia's leading intralogistics business platform," says Wolfgang Pech, senior vice president at Deutsche Messe.
Among those echoing Pech's view is exhibitor Andreas Finken from topsystem Systemhaus. "At the moment, CeMAT RUSSIA is for us the most interesting intralogistics fair in Russia. As a provider of voice-guided logistics solutions, here is where we reach our exact target groups," he says. "In Russia, the logistics branch is one of the most interesting, so we currently see good conditions to expand our customer base (here)."
While big-name exhibitors included Clark, Honeywell, Jungheinrich, Kaup, Komatsu, Mitsubishi, STILL and Yale, there were some notable absences. Manufacturers like Toyota, Hyster, Linde and Kalmar did not participate.
For Bernard De Meester, CEO of TVH, the show "went reasonably well, considering the (economic) situation".
"We have been able to work well and saw about 50 customers and prospects each day," he says.
Most visitors at the TVH booth were local - from the Moscow and St Petersburg regions, with very few from other CIS countries.
Luuk Snijders, general director at Jungheinrich Lift Truck OOO, was also satisfied with his company's experiences. "Especially in economically difficult times, it is important that a company like Jungheinrich shows continuity. Our expectations for this year's fair have been fulfilled: (we had) exceptional talks with customers, very good leads and new business contracts."
CeMAT RUSSIA 2016 is scheduled for 20-22 September at the Crocus Expo Center in Moscow.
CeMAT RUSSIA is organised by Deutsche Messe AG subsidiary OOO Deutsche Messe RUS in partnership with the ITE Group Plc., a UK-based trade fair company with offices in 11 countries.
