IPAF Asia welcomes keynote speaker
Hong KongAndy Studdert, chairman & CEO of US-based NES Rentals and IPAF president, will give the keynote address at the IPAF Asia Conference on May 26, 2015 at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Drawing on his previous experience as COO of United Airlines, he will show how principles of aviation safety can be applied to the powered access industry.
Also speaking are: Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack, on "Great potential for powered access in Asia: But where are we now?" and Kimmo Koskensalo, chief technology officer of Scanclimber, on "Mast climbing work platforms: How safe are they?".
Confirmed event speakers and panelists include representatives from the Hong Kong Occupational Safety & Health Council, the Singapore Ministry of Manpower, the Hong Kong Federation of Occupational Safety & Health, and the China Occupational Safety & Health Association.
The conference will be held in English, with simultaneous translation into Mandarin.

Apprentice wins two awards
London, United KingdomJCB apprentice Daniel Biggs, 21, has won two awards in a national competition.
The engineer and fourth-year apprentice, who works for JCB Transmissions in Abenbury Way, scooped the Outstanding Performance by a Final Year Apprentice Award at the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards held in London.
Biggs was also named Manufacturing Student of the Year at the same ceremony. Judges said Daniel "demonstrated a tremendous level of professionalism and commitment to being an engineer and the industry as a whole, (and that his) absolute passion and dedication to engineering shone through."
World's largest air show uses Jungheinrich forklift
Milton Keynes, United KingdomJungheinrich Event Hire has been selected by The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises to supply a rough-terrain forklift and a telehandler for the 2015 Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire on 17-19 July.
The Tattoo is the world's largest military air show, featuring 7.5 hours of flying displays from air forces worldwide, including fast jets, giant transporters and historic aircraft. This year's event will feature a spectacular mass fly-past of historic aircraft in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
Event Hire is a part of Jungheinrich's UK business, supplying a full range of materials handling products on short-term rental contracts to the event and exhibition sector.
