Lexington, KY, United States
God's Pantry Food Bank has received the donation of a refurbished electric forklift from ProLift Industrial Equipment at its Lexington headquarters.
Late in 2014, ProLift asked its employees to suggest non-profit organisations that might benefit from the donation of one of their items. Sales representative Pete Sackleh suggested the Food Bank and contacted its staff for input.
Once ProLift had narrowed the nominees, the company's 300-plus employees were given the opportunity to vote, and Kentucky's largest food bank received the most votes.
Jarrod Tramont, central operations manager, chose a Toyota electric forklift from the company's inventory as a good potential donation because of its low miles and good condition. The forklift was delivered on 8 January.Agilon wins award
