Kalmar's new generation reach stacker
Helsinki, FinlandKalmar, part of Cargotec, has launched Gloria, a new range of reach stacker, at TOC Europe.
Following on from Kalmar's F-generation reach stackers, the new G-generation will add four extra models to the container handling range and three extra models for intermodal handling.
Gloria comes with certain built-in safety options like reverse warning and a personal proximity aid system. The cabin has "over 90% guaranteed all-round visibility", even in poor weather conditions.
New films will save users money
Stonehouse, United KingdomGloucestershire-based Golden Valley Pallet Wrap Specialists Ltd claims its new ranges of pallet wrap film will save users money on each pallet that they wrap. The Carbon and Alloy ranges are available in both hand- and machine-applied versions.
Golden Valley says that wrapping a typical palletised load using a standard 23 micron pallet wrap costs, on average, 28p ($0.42), but to wrap the same pallet with Carbon or Alloy machine pallet wrap costs just 18p ($0.27). For a company that wraps 500 pallets per day, this would equate to a saving of GBP13,000 (USD19,700) per year.
Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks launches AXIA ES
Almere, The NetherlandsMitsubishi Forklift Trucks has launched the AXIA ES pedestrian stacker series.
Its name, based on the word 'axis', has been chosen to reflect its ability to turn and manoeuvre in the tightest of spaces. Mitsubishi describes AXIA as 'the all rounder', as its versatility and the extensive choice of models meets many workplace needs.
Available in capacities of 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 T, the trucks can lift loads to heights of up to 5.4 m (17.7 ft.). For occasional longer distances, users can specify a foldable ride-on platform on the 1.2 to 1.6 T stackers.
