Alan Blake who will retire at the end of the year. Blake, 63, joined JCB in 1989 and became CEO in 2010 after holding a number of senior positions in the company and after leading the biggest production expansion in JCB's history.
His successor will be
Graeme Macdonald, 45, who became CEO Designate from June 1. Macdonald has held a variety of senior roles during his 16 years at JCB and was most recently the company's COO. He was previously MD of the company's Backhoe Loader Business Unit, based at the World HQ in Rocester and also held the position of president of JCB Inc based at JCB's North American HQ in Savannah, Georgia.
Hannover, GermanyBernd Rohde has been appointed the new project manager for CeMAT. Rohde is a tradeshow specialist who has a wealth of international experience. Raised in Mexico, he studied economics at the University of Adelaide, Australia, before beginning his career at the German-Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Mexico City, where he was put in charge of investments, projects and market research.
Rohde succeeds
Manfred Kutzinski at the Deutsche Messe group, who was recently appointed project manager for product launch and innovations management, a capacity which involves supporting the group's foreign subsidiaries to further develop and refine exhibition themes and organisational processes. In addition to CeMAT Hannover, Rohde is responsible for the foreign-based intralogistics trade shows produced by Deutsche Messe. These include CeMAT ASIA, CeMAT RUSSIA, CeMAT INDIA, CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA, Materials Handling Eurasia and Intralogistica Italia. Rohde reports to Wolfgang Pech, senior vice president at Deutsche Messe.
