EnerSys has appointed Shawn O'Connell as president of motive power Americas. In his new role, O'Connell will leverage his long-standing Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) partnership experience gained over his 30+ years in the power industry and apply this knowledge to new technology roadmaps in the materials handling sector.
Prior to his current role, he served as vice president - reserve power sales and service for the Americas from February 2017, and vice president of EnerSys Advanced Systems from December 2015 to January 2017.
O'Connell joined the company in 2011, serving in various sales and marketing capacities in several areas of the business.
O'Connell received his Master of Business Administration degree in International Business from the University of Redlands, CA. He is a veteran of the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division (Paratroopers) where he served as a signals intelligence analyst, was a Spanish linguist and held a Top Secret security clearance.

Dunville

Airpes has named Tad Dunville general manager, North America.
Dunville has held a number of high-profile positions in the electric overhead travelling (EOT) crane and materials handling markets, most notably as chief financial officer at Dearborn Crane & Engineering and director of corporate development at manufacturer Ace World Companies.
Dunville's goal is to make Airpes a seamless part of a crane company's supply chain.
Dunville's appointment marks a focus on the Americas, where the company will eventually open a facility outside Chicago, Illinois, strategically located near the steel mills of northwest Indiana. Initially, he will spearhead a recruitment drive and develop relationships with potential key accounts.

Peacock

The Caldwell Group has appointed lifting and spreader beam expert Malcolm Peacock as business development specialist.
Peacock's primary area of expertise is adjustable spreader beams, but he will represent the entire range, including lifting beams, vacuum attachments, remote releasing hooks, and gantry cranes, from his prime location in the Emirates.
Extensively travelled, Peacock understands the idiosyncrasies of global marketplaces and recognises the importance of selecting the right tool for the application in hand.
