Mike Winemiller has been promoted to president of Briggs International. The company's CEO, David Bratton, credits Winemiller for Briggs' successful navigation through the economic downturn. Winemiller joined the Briggs Weaver's Equipment Group in 1983, which became Briggs Equipment in 1996. In 2006, he was promoted to vice president and chief operating officer and, in 2007, to president of US operations.

Barry Barnes, director of sales for Terex Cranes Europe, has retired after over 30 years of service. Barnes joined the company in 1972 and has had management positions in the UK and Europe.
Barnes says: "I have been in the crane industry for nearly 50 years, and it is a very interesting feeling and emotion, as I remember my very first day at work with the company and many landmarks until this point. I have been fortunate to represent superior products and work with some great people and colleagues. I still have a lot of ideas to improve the business and look forward to continue to support my colleagues and customers whenever I can be of help."

Nissan Forklift Corp has appointed Lewis Byers as business development manager for the east region of North America. Byers has 23 years of sales and operations experience in the materials handling industry. He will be responsible for business development for 19 Nissan Forklift dealers in the east region of the United States and Canada.

FleetNet America Inc has appointed Craig Garrison as director of invoice processing. Garrison will be responsible for planning, directing and co-ordinating the day-to-day operations in three segments of the accounting department - billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable. He has over 40 years of experience in those areas.

Tipton, United Kingdom
Flexi Narrow Aisle has appointed John Hunt as business development manager for the Northwest region. Hunt replaces Roy Windsor, who has retired after nearly 30 years with the company. Before joining Flexi Narrow Aisle, Hunt operated a logistics consultancy offering warehouse operators specialist advice on pallet maximisation.
