TMHE gains four nominations
Hannover, GermanyToyota Material Handling Europe has received four nominations for the 2014 International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Awards. Winners will be announced at the upcoming CeMAT in Hannover, Germany.
TMHE has been nominated in three categories - the counterbalance trucks up to 3.5 T category, warehouse truck category and the Intralogistics Solutions 2014 category.
There are a total of 11 nominations for the 2014 IFOY Awards for products launched from December 2012.
Linde scoops award
Manchester, United KingdomLinde Material Handling (UK) has been recognised for its innovation and use of technology at a national awards ceremony by British consumer co-operative, The Co-Operative Group.
Linde sales and marketing director Andrew Daly says: "It's a great achievement to win the Technology and Innovation award and we are delighted that the Co-Op have recognised our contribution to their business. We are constantly listening to our customers to understand their key challenges and strive for creative innovations to fulfil their needs."
The Co-operative Property Awards, held at Event City in Manchester, celebrated the achievements of the group's UK partners.
FLTA Awards raises money for charity
Birmingham, United KingdomThe Fork Lift Truck Association has raised GBP8,630 (USD14,191) for international development charity Transaid during an auction held on its Awards for Excellence night.
UK celebrity auctioneer Jonny Gould compered the event and a cricket bat signed by the winning 2013 English (vs. New Zealand) cricket squad went under the hammer.
Transaid, established in 1988 by Save the Children and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, identifies and implements local transport solutions to improve access to basic services and economic opportunities for people in Africa and other developing countries.

TMHU hauls away hunger
Columbus, IN, United StatesToyota Material Handling USA Inc (TMHU) has participated in the Tri-State Toyota Dealers' seventh annual donation, serving as a key partner along with Toyota Motor Sales USA and Toyota Financial Services.
The companies collected and distributed non-perishable food for non-profit hunger relief organisation, Philabundance.
TMHU, working with local dealer Toyota Material Handling Northeast Inc, donated the use of four 8-Series pneumatic forklifts and one walkie pallet truck to help unload over 35 T of non-perishable food from a convoy of 49 Toyota Tundras.
Konecranes signs credit facility
Hyvinkää, FinlandKonecranes has signed a new EUR100 million (USD136 million), five-year revolving credit facility with its core relationship banks.
The commited credit facility will be used for general corporate purposes.
The mandated lead arrangers and book runners are Commerzbank, Danske Bank, Nordea Bank, Pohjola Bank and SEB. Danske Bank acted as the co-ordinating mandated lead arranger and facility agent.
