STILL wins prestigious design award
Hamburg and Berlin, GermanySTILL GmbH has won a Red Dot Design award for its STILL EASY iPad application.
The German forklift maker received the honour at the Red Dot Gala in the Berlin Konzerthaus that was attended by 1,200 guests on 18 October.
An international panel of experts identified the best designs in the communications design category from the 6,800 entries that were submitted.
The Red Dot award was presented to 575 entries.
STILL GmbH and melting elements, a creative agency specialising in digital communications, were awarded the coveted Red Dot: Best of the Best prize.
Only 72 projects, or 1.06% of all entries in the Red Dot: Communication Design 2013 competition, received this distinction.
Event results in sales talks
Szydlowiec, PolandHyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE) dealer Toolmex organised an open house in Szydlowiec, Poland this month.
The event targeted existing and potential customers, and has resulted in business talks with over 20 customers who are interested to buy additional or new Hyundai forklifts.
Over 30 forklifts were displayed, and most of them were demonstrated to enable visitors to experience the performance of the Hyundai forklift range.
HHIE says Toolmex is one of the South Korean forklift manufacturers most successful European dealers.

Forbes Magazines Americas Best Small Companies for 2012, coming in at 44th place on the list.
According to Forbes, the list is an annual ranking of America's best small companies that have experienced strong growth over the past five years. The 2012 list highlights public companies with sales under USD1 billion, which are ranked based on return on equity, sales growth and earnings growth over the past year and the past five years.
Forbes methodology factored in stock performance versus each company's peer group during the last 12 months.
Manitex supplies lifting solutions that include reach stackers, rough-terrain forklifts, cranes, electric forklifts and container handling equipment.
CEO lauded at special ceremony
Xiamen, ChinaXiamen University of Technology (XUT) and Linde (China) Forklift Truck Corp Ltd held the National Engineering Practical Education Centre awards ceremony in Xiamen this month.
XUT president Chen Wenzhe and Linde (China) CEO CP Quek delivered speeches at the event. Quek was also honoured with the title XUT Guest Professor.
The university and forklift manufacturer established a partnership to cooperate on training undergraduate and graduate students in 2011. Through the exchange, experts from Linde (China) teach at the university and teachers from the university train the companys personnel.
