Merthyr Tydfil staff find new jobs

Most of the staff who have left the Linde Material Handling UK plant in Merthyr Tydfil that will close this month (Forkliftaction.com News #618) have found new jobs, according to KION.
"We have been actively helping staff to find alternative work, and, to date, 70% of those who have left the company and are seeking work have found new positions," says head of corporate media relations Frank Brandmaier.
He adds that staff have also opted for assistance for further training, and all staff have had the opportunity to apply for other positions in KION Group.

Trelleborg launches 3D movie

Trelleborg will launch a new 3D animated movie, which showcases its apps like Tire Efficiency, Dealer Locator and Attraction at AGRITECHNICA 2013 in Hannover, Germany on 12-16 November.

The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has announced that Oval Risk Services will now be providing the health and safety helpline service available for all its members.
The helpline is a specialist number that members can call to get instant answers to queries and questions relating to forklift health and safety issues.
In addition to the Health & Safety number, FLTA provides members with specialist telephone numbers for employment, legal and technical questions relating to the forklift sector.

Forklifts sold at auction

More than 80 forklifts were among the USD41 million worth of equipment that the world's largest industrial auctioneer sold at its auction site in Moerdijk, the Netherlands last month.
Ritchie Bros Auctioneers featured a range of items used in the construction, mining, transportation and other industries at the auction on 26 and 27 September. Besides forklifts, Ritchie Bros sold a large number of boom and scissor lifts, compactors, excavators, van trucks, loaders, truck tractors, trailers and other items.

Kudos for operator training
