SMH and IMC still merging
OLATHE, KS, United StatesSMH and IMC Holdings are currently merging their purchasing departments, says SMH CEO Els Thermote.
Since SMH's parent TVH bought IMC Holdings in 2006, the two US-based companies now share a sales force, a company website, product development departments, marketing and advertising initiatives and a new e-commerce site, launched this year.
Thermote says: "In 2008, the journey continues. As the first sentence of our corporate mission statement [says], 'We are committed to have highly enthusiastic customer relationships'."
Ritchie Bros moves to larger office
LINCOLN, NE, United StatesRitchie Bros Auctioneers will celebrate the opening of its new US head office in Lincoln, Nebraska, on 12 May.
The world's largest industrial equipment auctioneer moved its US head office to a 12,000 sq ft (1,114m²) building, five times larger than the old office, to accommodate its growing staff.
Lincoln mayor Chris Beutler will officially open the office at a ribbon-cutting ceremony next Monday.

Terex appoints Kiernan
WESTPORT, CT, United StatesTerex Corp has appointed Laura Kiernan as director of investor relations. She replaces Tom Gelston, who has been promoted to vice president of business development.
Kiernan was vice president of investor relations at Playtex Products Inc, which has merged with Energizer. She has more than 17 years' experience in investor relations, corporate finance, accounting, treasury and auditing. She is a certified public accountant and a New York University Stern Scholar.
