Bolzoni Auramo CEO Roberto Scotti has announced that the Italian forklift attachment maker will acquire South Australia-headquartered forklift attachment specialist Eurolift Pty Ltd from Peter Beaumont and Elme Spreader AB to expand its presence in the Australian market.
The value of the acquisition is not disclosed.
Scotti says after the acquisition, Bolzoni Auramo Pty Ltd will continue to represent the materials handling products previously distributed by Eurolift in addition to the Bolzoni Auramo and Meyer forklift attachment ranges. This includes the full range of Elme spreaders.
Eurolift, a supplier of Elme, Bolzoni Auramo and Tygard claw attachments, will have its operations merged with Bolzoni Auramo Australia and will continue to trade in Sydney and Adelaide. There are plans to expand the company's presence nationally.
Beaumont is retiring as managing director of Eurolift. He has been involved in the design, manufacture and sales of forklift attachments for over 30 years.
Ross McNamara, who has held senior managerial roles in Pirelli Eu and UTC Group America, will replace Beaumont. He has been involved with capital equipment throughout his career and brings local and international experience to the role.
Scotti says the new structure will provide a seamless national presence for the Bolzoni Auramo and Meyer attachment ranges in Australia.
