The Linde brand will be the only forklift used until 2014, according to the agreement signed by Yantai Wanhua and Linde Material Handling last year.

Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes Co Ltd has ordered about 115 Linde forklifts for the first phase of its RMB13.2 billion (USD2.1 billion) industrial park that was established in 2011.

Linde Material Handling GmbH spokesman Detleft Sieverdingbeck tells Forkliftaction.com News that the Linde brand will be the only forklift used until 2014, according to the agreement signed in Yantai, Shandong on 11 December.

According to Linde, Yantai Wanhua is the only methylene diphenyl diisocynate (MDI) production enterprise in China, and the largest in the Asia Pacific. MDI is a chemical used for commercial polyurethane production.

Yantai Wanhua visited Linde's Xiamen factory and selected Linde forklifts that included the high-level order picker, electric pallet truck and diesel and electric counterbalance forklifts.

The value of the contract is confidential and Forkliftaction.com News understands that both parties are in talks for a second order.

Yantai Wanhua has over 1,000 employees and an annual turnover of about RMB15 billion (USD2.4 billion).
