First off there are two speed sensors one is the TISS the other is the TOSS. The TISS has 3 wires, the TOSS has 4. Either one can cause this problem. You need a service level password to get into the dash setup.

you have a bad TOSS sensor on transmission. It sits or right side of top of trans, Its a 4 wire connector. check for loose connection, if ok, replace Toss sensor. once you do that ,calibrate transmission and you should be ok.

Do you have the optional Duramatch (the Hyster name) trans which automatically decelerates the lift when you take your foot off the gas?

Fact of the week
The first practical visible-spectrum LEDs were red, not white. The red colour was the easiest to produce using the semiconductor materials available at the time (the 1960s). The alloy gallium arsenide phosphide (GaAsP) used emitted red light.
