Discussion:
Taylor Forklift won't move much

Hi all! Bear with me...This is my first time on here. I have a small Taylor forklift that I started having trouble with. It doesn't want to move forward and backward. You can put it in gear and feel it shift but when you rev it up it barely moves. It was working fine last year. I just changed the hydraulic filter. It also has a hydraulic pressure gage that looks to be reading high. Finally, it is sputtering fluid from the breather on the transmission fill tube. I was wondering if perhaps some valve is stuck?? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks! Matt

Sorry guys but we do not monitor ths board for messages. On an Allison trans the most common problem when oil is coming out of the fill tube or breather, the level is too low and the oil starts to foam. This pushes it out.
Idling in neutral - pressure should read abut 175 psi.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
