Mr Anderson,
according to hyster these units had either a mazda 2.0 or 2.2L engine or a GM 3.0. There however is a note stating that all serial numbers up to D187V24786Z had a GM 3.0L.
As the previous question as asked about the valve cover, there are big differences between both engines. The Mazda valve cover is aluminum and is fairly wide, as for the GM cover it is more narrow and i believe it is made of steel. One other difference is the mazda is not painted and the GM is, from the factory.
