Anyone tell me what code 84 means? Customer just picked up the unit from an auction, low battery voltage, no charger! Unit will drive and lift, then codes out and has to be reset with keyswitch. Wrench light is always on. thanks, Martin.

What is the year of manufacture and/or serial number of the truck? Error 84 is generally a sensor bearing problem in one of the drive motors or hydraulic pump motors. If it drives fine but lifts slow then it is in the pump motor. If it lifts fine or drives slow then it is in one of the drive motors. This is a very common failure item.
code 84- is mis adjustment on the brake system depends on the year of the unit.There two systems one with shims at and under the brake rotor a book is required for the adjustment.Newer system are three adjustment bolts same place as older unit,the gap are equal between brake pads and rotor.Please note inside the door are signs of black brake fluid the inner seals will be needed to be replaced,before your adjustments
wrench light is not really a wrench light. A solid wrench light is telling you it needs its yearly maintenance inspection. A flashing wrench light means it needs its past the 1000 hrs for an inspection. The error code light is the triangle symbol with the exclamation point in it.
