Is "Adminitration" a U.K. term for bankruptcy? I will try to find out some info on the U.S. side.

Not specifically, but many of the big UK forklift operators are retrenching. Only last month Britain's biggest forklift producer, Linde, made over 10% of its Basingstoke workforce redundant, and Briggs Equipment, the UK's exclusive Caterpillar dealer, is set to make a significant number of employees redundant by Christmas. I will give you the latest financial guff on Barloworld Handling from which you can make your own conclusions.

I work for Barlows in the north west, we made a profit last year ending in October, lots of changes in management , not sackings just moving the dead wood around to different roles, no engineer job losses , what have you heard as most of the truth usually comes from outside your own company ?

PS Field service engineer here not management

If they rely upon significant profit from the U.S. side to maintain world wide balance. I would say they are in trouble all over. Word has it here that only about a third of the 30+ branches in the U.S. are profitable.
