Start initially but will not restart till it sits.

I am new to the forklift world. I purchased this Hyster H60FT on auction. It will start and run on the first start up. However, if I shut it off and go to restart it just cranks. With a very strong smell of propane. (Almost seems like it floods out???). Then the unit needs to sit for awhile before it will restart again.

Marcus,

Sounds like the lift is flooding. Probably need to replace the convertor. Verify that the radiator is full of coolant. This keeps the fuel from freezing when going through the convertor. Make sure you do not have any frost showing up at any LP connection or component. This would indicate you have LP leaking. Should you continue to have the problem, you will need a qualified tech to troubleshoot. Good Luck

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.
