I saw a system on an electric counterbalance made by Pyroban which incorporated a fire extinguisher. When the truck was switched on the system charged before power was delivered from the battery to the truck. Pyroban make systems which are dedicated to individual machines and have drawings for every system they design & install. So if your budget permits they would be a good point to start from.
