They may be engineers but I suspect they do not know or understand forklifts

I once saw an Insurance inspector checking forklifts on a very large fleet and had a quick discussion with him. When I realised he was spending about 5 min on each check I gave up and lost confidence in Insurance inspections,

I suspect if it had a firm brake pedal and the chains were Ok he was happy to claim his Fee !!!!!!!

Why these companies don't trust experts to do the job properly beats me.
