It is being reported (unofficially) that Toyota has accumulated, since January 2021, approximately 10,000+ completed lift trucks and they have been stored in warehouses throughout Indiana waiting for the "paperwork" to clear EPA. What's not clear is whether or not the resolution is truly just paperwork, or if Toyota will need to go back touch each truck with some type of change. If the latter becomes the case, are the changes only required on those 2021 model year trucks, or do the changes need to be made on trucks built prior to 2021. This is a very unfortunate situation for Toyota and our hearts and prayers should go out to the Indiana plant workers and all the Toyota dealer personnel that work so hard every day to feed their families. The ripple effect throughout the industry will undoubtedly be massive!
