Discussion:
Is a freezer pack necessary?

Greetings! Outfitting a warehouse which will running at it's coldest at -12C (10F). The truck does not have to live in the freezer. It will be in and out, never has to be in there for a super extended period of time. If we keep up on the maintenance do we need to get a freezer pack? Cost and lead times are crazy right now. Any and all info welcome. Thanks and cheers!

I'm having the same experiene with a customers manual pallet jacks. In and out occasionally in a freezer. Moister and corrosion is causing the pins to rust for the wheel yoke and axle. Terrible to get apart-

Use Dielectric grease on the electrical components and you'll be fine.

In and out of a freezer causes sweating(aka) moisture especially on warm, humid/ rainy days. Moisture is an enemy of electrical/electronic devises wiring connections and other components. Plus sweating will freeze items like switches when the lift goes back into 10 F temps. You need to find out what your F/L suppliers Freezer package consists of and to what temps they will offer protection It can vary from brand to brand. Contact your local dealer(s).

Yes dielectric grease in a good thing but it needs to be done by and experience technician plus "heaters" and other things may be required along with other things that the manufacturer recommends based on the make model and serial number of the unit.

Fact of the week
Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
