Discussion:
glow controller 676-4

Hello,
I have a Hyster H3 5ft.
i had to jump start it the other day.
I now have a fault code- 676-4.
I dont have a 12v supply to my glow plug contactor.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram? i think the feed comes from the controller under the dash panel on the right hand side...
I also have fault 524213-3. I have noticed someone has removed the horn, i think that's why i have that error.
Id be grateful for any help...

Many thanks for your response.
I have checked all of the above, so assume it must be the module.
Honestly, in many years of repairing ICE machines, i have never known a controller/card go in this way....But there you go!!
All the best

Rich,

Code 676-4 is for glow plug relay OORL. Yes, the power comes out of the VSM under right side of dash. The negative side of the relay comes from battery negative. Since you had to jump start lift, may have damaged VSM. Use another ground to verify positive is not at relay. Also, 12 volts are sent for only a short time. Need to make sure all connections are complete for testing before turning on switch. Need to verify that the solenoid has 12 volts coming from starter. There is a fuse in between. Make sure all fuses are good. The factory says to remove battery and charge, do not jump. You can remove kick panel and check all connections at the VSM. Verify there is no corrosion at any of the pins or sockets. Also, the other code is for missing horn. Good Luck

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.
