In your original post you stated you are looking to buy two NEW units - later on you state you are look to buy low hour used units. Which is it?
Caution hour meters have been know to be changed and replaced with a low reading meter. e.g. a reputable dealer in our area sells their used units with a new 0 hour meter

There you go, Good input from end users. I myself prefer yale but then again we run a lot of Lp units. If you can Buy new. The most important thing is to go with the brand recommended maint. The mfgrs really know what is needed to be done and at what intervals. Good maint not only keeps your costs down but also increases safety for the user. Price= what you pay for it Cost= your maint to keep it going. Over the long run good maint pays for itself many times over

We run all Toyota electrics, about 40 or so - various models, sit-downs, stand ups - 8FBCHU25 mostly.
These things are virtually bulletproof.
Never mind cost of acquisition, the REAL cost is keeping them running once you have them and these Toyotas really last.
In our case dealer support is second to none, varies by location I know, but anyway our experience with Toyota has been great.

You are on the right track. Maybe contact some local users in your area. Once again service sells.

Stick with the North American built units. Check with the local dealers and arrange a demo. See what kind of product support the local dealer has to offer. Parts and service are what makes or breaks a lift truck brand. Granted you are going to pay more for for the top brands, Toyota , Clark, Hyster yale and so on but when you have a unit down for lack of service , support, the unit is not making you money Up time is EVERYTHING!
