Unicarriers (& Nissan) NO1L18U:
DRIVE CUTTING OUT

Hi guys. I have an old 48V N01 that has an intermitent drive fault. It is running a sevcontrol and must be caused by a loose component. The problem is that while in use it just loses drive. I checked everything up to the controller (fwd/rev switch, pedal, and contactors) all do what they are meant to but voltage out of the contactors is not being grounded by the SEVcontroller. changing direction switch does nothing but unit will work again when key is switched off. Got me stumped as if started in fwd/rev it wont run but will when put into neutral then back into gear (so not a key switch problem). Is this a common fault? Thanks for your time.

G'day mate. I know it's a while ago now but did you ever solve the problem with your NO1 that had the intermittent drive fault. was it the early sevcon unit or the SC2000. Just interested to know as I have quite a few of these trucks on my patch.
Regards, Nick.
