Discussion:
Codes T241 @ T471

Hi

Can anyone help with codes T241 @ T471 on a Linde R16-03.

Truck work ok, but intermittantly comes up with these codes.

If you turn off and back on the truck starts to work ok.

Any ideas??

Regards

Dan

Have you got access to pathfinder? Making sure that both steering sensors are calibrated correctly is the first thing to try.

If that doesn't do the trick, have you got another truck that you could swap The Lord unit over with? These are expensive so would be worth seeing if the fault transfers.

There have been problems with the wiring looms, test the resistance between plug 3x4 (Saab plug under the dash, near the footwell) and plug x/50L (right hand can plug on the steer motor/module) anything over roughly 0.5amps then the loom will need repairing. When the trucks are built the loom arrives in two pieces and is crimped together, excessive resistance in the crimped connections causes this fault.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the reply

Yes we still have hydraulics just lose drive and steering. All comes back if you key off and back on.

It does sound like a wiring or sensor fault, if you could send me some info that would be great

Even though these fault codes are T (traction) faults they are actually steer faults, traction is shutting down for safety reasons due to a fault detected on the steering system.

Do you have working hydraulics?

First thing is to check the 50 amp fuse under the arm rest. A hairline fracture will allow the steer system to activate and not cause a fault code but when the traction system puts it under load it fails.

Try this and if the fault continues I can send you some information about faults in the wiring loom that are quite common, other than that it may be a faulty steer sensor or lord unit.
