A REMAN accelerator is available. RM00000686 or RM00000687 depends on year.
I use to just open the box. Blow it out with compressed air put it back together and it was good to go. Any chance some of the Q tips got stuck on the beams?
Looking at the schematic, it looks like the seat switch just goes from P1-13 to the seat switch, to battery negative. Is this correct?
What kind of reading is should I see at the logic card?
Thanks to you both for all the help. I don't know how to check that.
Any idea where I can get a good used one?
New one is over $800, I don't want to stick that much into this, the battery isn't very good.
Sounds like the accelerator box failed to me. I would make sure and check the output to the logic card just to verify though.
well usually when there is an "E" flashing on the display it means no seat switch input present, and if you try and press the accelerator in this condition it will display a code 26 meaning that the accelerator is trying to be activated out of sequence.
It is explained in the code chart as: Code E: Accelerator depressed before key is turned on. Seat Switch open when it should be closed.
If "E" is just on (no flashing) then accelerator is pressed before turning on key. adjust accelerator linkage, if adjustment does not work then accelerator box is bad.
If "E" is on and flashing with key on then no seat switch input. repair switch or wiring
Seat switch is is bypassed with a jumper wire, it passes diagnostic mode when connected.
getting an "E" ?
sounds like seat switch circuit
check the switch and wiring
Serial # A2EC261409
I've cleaned the sensors several times, last time with cotton swabs.
Now today it stopped working completely, I turn it on and just get E,
if I press the accelerator just a little it throws code 26.
I guess the accelerator box must be dead.
I put it in diagnostic mode and it doesn't make it past the accelerator test anymore.
Microcommand system: code 26 is accelerator fault high, no lift truck operation
Possible causes: not adjusted correctly or defective, dirt on optical switches, open wiring or logic's failure.
If EV100ZX system code 26 is: Shorted coil driver for 1A, RB, or PS contactor
On the microcommand system generally you can remove the accelerator box and open it up and clean it out, dirt on the optical sensors usually causes this code. Reseal it back up with silicone when reassembling.
On the ev100zx system is usually a bad contactor coil, replace the contactor.
which system does this truck have? Got a serial number?
