Discussion:
C801 with a Throttle error

When I turn on the picker it does a continuous beep and Throttle shows on the display. If i use the lift switch it will show as well as the foot switch. Any suggestions on how to get it fixed where I can move it? Thanks in advance.

Need to inspect the brake switch and make sure it is operating correctly.

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.
I do not understand why you have a continuous beep. If you see throttle on the screen, tap the brake switch three times, you should see cycle handle. Push the handle all the way forward and all the way back twice within 10 seconds. Shut off lift and unplug battery. Wait 5 minutes then give it a try.

It does the same thing. It only does the steady beep. It shows Horn on the screen, but the horn never beeps.

Turn the key on while holding the horn button. Do not continue to hold the key in the on position. The lift should start going through the start up sequence. The horn will sound shortly, release the horn switch then press it again quickly and release. Reading the first instructions, it sounds like you needed to hold the key switch while trying to get the horn steps completed. Just turn the key on as if you were starting the truck. The trick is releasing the horn button just after it goes off and flicking the horn switch again.

When I turn on the picker while holding the horn button, all I get is the beep. The horn never sounds. Any other thoughts?

Make sure you read the entire steps twice before trying. Start the truck without stepping on the brake switch while holding the horn switch. As soon as the horn sounds, release the horn and key switch , press horn switch quickly and release, do not hold. You should now see, ThrtVxxx. Voltage should read 2.2 to 2.7 volts neutral. Adjust as needed. Cycle the handle through a full range, read 1.2 in reverse and about 3.8 in forward. If all is reading good, press the brake switch 3 times, display should read CyclePot. This is the calibration mode for throttle. Move the throttle handle full motion twice within 10 seconds. After 10 seconds lift will beep. Shut off system and unplug battery. Connect all and test. This may take a few times as it is difficult to get the first part right.
