Can Briggs give the software to subdealers ? Maybe NACCO is not allowing it when Jungheinrich can make their own decision.
Briggs are a joke. We looked at buying a fleet of counter balance trucks from then. It was like jumping though hoops lol. Then When we got to the question of software and training for our own engineers to maintain them it was a straight no from Briggs. Big order lost for them. Straight to Jungheinrich and got everything we asked for. Briggs are one company who won't get a look in from us again
Apparently HR treated the crew there quite badly. The person informing them of redundancy and putting them into consultation didn't really care as they were finishing that Friday. Also one of the employees had to take legal action to secure their redundancy payment. Absolutely disgraceful !!!
They kept that quiet first I heard of this closure but then again we're getting treated like mushrooms again.
I wonder how many customers this cost effective move will loose ? But then again Briggs never has cared about customer retention. I also wonder how many customers the "half dozen" will take with them ?
It closed on Thursday, the lease expired and they decided it wasn't cost-effective to keep it open.
The half dozen people based there have been made redundant and the workload is being taken over by head office in Cannock.
This is a blow, I've heard they closed their depot in Cardiff. Anybody able to confirm this?
Briggs can probably afford to move into Ireland now they've pulled totally out of Wales !
Been trying to since the barloworld days, but a big mainland contract has a lot of new machinery round the port
Are Briggs moving into Republic of Ireland
