Discussion:
Baker forklift always in reverse

I have a 1988 Baker forklift with a hydrstatic drive. The unit seems to always be in reverse. As soon as you release the brake it starts to roll. It does not matter if the forward/reverse switch is engaged or in neutral it still rolls backwards. The "go" pedal does not have any effect on what the forklift does. When you depress the brake the lift stops moving. any ideas will be helpful.

Thanks

The forklift truck was made by Linde. Do you have a serial #? It will either start with 331... or 351...
It sounds like it has a directional switch. If so, either the directional switch is faulty or one of the solenoids that it controls is either stuck or no good.
