Forklift Safety Seminars - Free - Regional Victoria

The National Registered Assessors Association (Non Profit Organization) is running Forklift safety seminars around Victoria, Australia in conjunction with Worksafe Victoria.

All seminars start at 8a.m with registration, morning tea is provided at 10.15a.m., the sessions finish around 12.30p.m. Bookings, at no cost to attendees, should be addressed to the Secretary of the NRAA on phone /fax 03 9878 5390 or email nraa.secretary@bigpond.com. Distribution ,Transport, Warehouse, OHS and similar Managers and Staff are encouraged to report on their Pedestrian Exclusion Zones and receive input and guidance to improve all aspects of safer Forklift materials handling.

In March 2002, identical twins in Finland died on the same day in similar accidents within hours of each other. A 70-year-old man was killed by a truck while cycling; hours later, his twin brother was killed by a truck on the same road, about a mile away, before the family had been informed of the first accident.
