Students and apprentices at STILL in HamburgHamburg-based intralogistics provider, STILL, has welcomed to its headquarters and seven German branches 71 apprentices and dual students, who are undertaking studies in one of seven vocational programs or five-day dual study programs.
The new recruits will also learn about the current health and safety standards and take part in a variety of team-building activities, culminating in the week-long Forklift Truck Construction Seminar.
Of the 71 career starters, 51 are undertaking training in technical and industrial professions, including nine women.
Six of the new starters are embarking on programs in electrical engineering, information technology, mechatronics, computer science and IT engineering.
“Here, students of the Nordakademie learn how to answer complex questions relating to the digitalised economy, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things,” STILL states. “Skills that will be invaluable in the future, not just in the intralogistics industry.”
Interestingly, more than 90% of apprentices and dual students undertaking the programs with STILL go on to further study or receive a job offer from the organisation after completing their training.
Throughout 2025, STILL will train 260 young people in seven different apprenticeship professions and eight dual study programmes across nine locations in Germany.
