Unit Load Handling Systems (ULHS) will distribute Verona, Italy-based Roncari Forklift Attachments products as part of an agreement reached by the two companies this month.
A ULHS statement said the sales, service and marketing arrangement is the first thrust into the US attachment market for Roncari, which produces standard and specialised forklift attachments in a range of capacities.
Roncari's "intelligent clamp" system which reduces damage to appliances and cartons, and its "total visibility" design concept, which maximises load visibility and is standard on all its European attachments, will both be launched in the US.
ULHS, established in 2000, distributes niche products, including Columbia Machine, US Attachments, John Harder Co, Fielden Handling and Hydraux attachments and automated handling lines. The Roncari agreement means ULHS has the broadest attachments range in the US, the company says.
Over the past decade, Roncari has expanded into other European countries, Australia, and the far east. The company specialises in attachments for the paper, grocery, forging, metals and concrete industries, and produces intermodal container handlers and ship-to-shore handling accessories.
