So many of today's forklift attachment product offerings are limited to standardized design and specification configurations. Some manufacturers avoid selling modifications to standard products. Heavy Duty Fork Positioners / Sideshifters
As an example, ULH builds high capacity fork positioners and sideshifters in class III, class IV and shaft type. A customer brought us a unique problem recently. He required fork positioning and sideshifting, had just one forklift and required the forklift to employ both sideshift and fork positioning and work with both 2.4 meter- and 1.5 meter-long forks on that single forklift and attachment. We solved the problem by building a customized sideshifting fork positioner having fork carriers and quick-attach forks.

Fork Spreader carriages and customized fork sleeves
A home builder needed a wide fork spreader with variable length forks so their finished products (various sized roof trusses and prefab sections) could be handled, stacked in the yard and loaded without damage. The spreader was to be removable easily from the 16T forklift and the fork length needed to interchange randomly between 1.8 meters and 3.6 meters. We resolved these issues using a pin-locking quick-attachment mount for the fork spreader frame and several customized pairs of 3 to 4 M long fork sleeves.

Coil Rams to fit multiple carriage sizes
Coil rams are often an occasional-use tool used by freight forwarders, cartage companies and longshoremen to handle their customers' steel and wire coils. ULH was ordered to design and build a ram to work on a series of fork truck sizes and carriage classes and also be large enough for the heaviest coils on the big trucks and small enough to handle small-cored coils on smaller dock trucks. We were not able to make this attachment do it all, but we did cover a broad range of coil sizes and truck capacity combinations.

Stone slab bundle extractor: Unloading a 20 foot closed container

ULH introduced the GA30D Slab Bundle Extractor Attachment to the marble and granite industry. This attachment is a compilation of all the ideas and suggestions offered by our customers over the years. Rubber pads are standard; fork blade is adjustable and replaceable; sideshifter can move the stone bundle; wider opening range; quick-change mounting without tools to switch from clamping to forks.
